Access the low pressure fuel port locate in the left rear corner of the engine compartment. This should be approximately 5 PSI cranking. If there is no pressure at this point, access the low pressure fuel pump located on the frame rail. Backprobe 12 volts to the Violet and White wire at the fuel pump. If the engine now starts, or there is now fuel pressure, trace power loss back to the Inertia switch (located behind right hand side of the instrument panel), then back to the fuel pump relay in the battery junction box. If there still is no fuel pressure, use a headlamp bulb to test the ground on the Black wire. If power and ground are ok, suspect failed fuel pump or restriction in the tank.
Note the low pressure side of the tank will have to be purged after fuel pump replacement using the following procedure. Install a pressure gauge or applicable device to the low pressure test port. Open the valve on the pressure gauge or applicable device so fuel can flow out of the test port into a container. Turn the key on, wait 30 seconds to allow pump to run, turn the key off. Repeat this process 3 or 4 times, then start engine Warning, failure to perform this purge procedure can damage both low and high pressure pumps
